On second thought…
I’m new to this whole blogging thing, but I imagine that contradicting yourself isn’t a great habit to get into.
BUT… I was looking again at the photo in my last post and started comparing it with my iPhone. And I’m convinced that this is NOT a
Colorware “paint” job. For one thing, a lot of the Colorware examples I’ve seen don’t have modified antenna covers (the black plastic part on the back). And the ones that DO modify that part have a distinct break between the metal and plastic surfaces. You can tell where they meet.
In the “3G” picture, however, the entire back looks like one solid piece. And you’ll notice that shape is ever-so-slightly different from the current models. It almost appears to be thicker. Maybe to accommodate a GPS antenna, perhaps…?
Anyway, maybe I’m carrying on a bit too much about it – especially considering that the original purpose in my previous post was to complain about the attention that this shot drew. But, after digging a little deeper, this may indeed be a modified iPhone – maybe even a new breed.
We’ll know soon enough, I’m sure.
It's-a me, Mario! Okay, it's really Kevin, and this is my personal site. I own
