Sorry I haven’t been updating this blog like I should. But I have a good reason – Heather (my wife) was diagnosed with cancer of the thyroid.
I’m not going to go into great detail here – it’s late and I’m tired. She had a cyst removed and it was cancerous. We went to the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota (about 5 hours north of Fort Madison), and found more cancer after the first surgery.
Yesterday, she had her thyroid removed completely.
The doctors believe that they have everything taken care of – no more cancer in her body. The lymph nodes were clear which means there is virtually no chance that this cancer spread.
As I indicated, there is much more to this story. Maybe someday I’ll sit and type it all up. Probably not. If you don’t know us personally, you probably don’t care to read every detail. And if you do, you probably already know most of it.
So, basically I’m just writing to say that the chaos is slowing dying down and I should be able to find more time to devote to the blog and other things. Look for more posts in the near future!
