Well, it’s finally done!

The redesign is based on WordPress which adds much-needed flexibility to the site. We’ll eventually have individual blogs for each team member in addition to a full-featured portfolio of our web development work. One of the final touches I added today was support for audio files to highlight our TechTalk podcast.

There’s still a bit of work to be done, and a few things to tweak along the way, but we decided that it was looking good enough to be published this afternoon. Stop by, take a look, and tell me what you think!

However, I’m working hard on developing a more systematic approach to blogging and will begin updating this as part of that strategy. I’m working on creating a new site for Backslash; one which will include a company-wide blog. That blog will be fed by RSS feeds from each employee’s personal blog, based on the category of each post.

We’ll see how it shakes out. It’s just a collection of thoughts right now, but I’m finding some time here and there to get it done.

One of the steps to getting there was to change hosting companies. Instead of being just a middle man for ReadyHosting, I have purchased an account with HostMonster and started a new hosting strategy. You can find my new site at either backslashhosting.com or harterhosting.com, but both point to the actual account: icanhazwebhost.com. Too funny, I know.

Well, here’s to hoping the strategy comes together and I get to where I want to get. Thanks for reading, and I’ll try to find some more pics to share soon.
